Rana Som, Former Chairman & Managing Director, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), Government of India Rana Som is a former Chairman & Managing Director of India's largest iron ore mining company, National Mineral Development Corporation. He is now associated with a number of companies as a director on their boards. Som holds a post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management. He has been a speaker at various forums in India and abroad. He has also been a judge for the Platts Global Energy Awards, responsible for selecting the best companies and best managers in the world in the metals and the mining sector every year.
