About the Author
Recently made a Fellow of Britain's National Institute of Medical Herbalists, David Hoffmann has been a clinical medical herbalist for over 25 years. He is one of the founding members and a past president of the American Herbalists Guild and is on the boards of the American Botanical Council, Herbalgram and the Protocol Journal of Botanical Medicine, and the American Herbal Pharmacopoea. The author of 17 books, including The Complete Illustrated Holistic Herbal, An Elders' Herbal, and The Herbal Handbook, he teaches phytotherapy throughout the English-speaking world and is visiting faculty at Bastyr University, the California Institute of Integral Studies, California School of Herbal Studies, the National College of Phytotherapy, and the Rocky Mountain School of Botanical Studies.
