S.L. Bhyrappa, in his own words, is a student of philosophy,and a novelist by choice. He has penned several novels, all of which have been well-received and translated into many Indian and foreign languages. R. Ranganath Prasad has worked for a public sector bank. He participates in literary study circles, wherein classical Sanskrit and Kannada literature are studied.
